My current work is focused on imagery accumulation through technique exploration, subjective narratives and emotional entrancement.

Acrylic paintings are etherial explorations into color and technique. Monochromatic washes exploring the nuances of warm, cool, artificial, and natural create an atmospheric foundation. Spills, gestures, peeling layers and objects are introduced to the color field. Shadows and rendering are selectively added to invoke depth and tangibility.

Ink drawings start with a blot, spill, or wet on wet technique forming an abstract area. I pull out imagery with fine brushes and ink pens using objects and forms imagined or drawn directly from my surroundings. These drawings are less restrained than my paintings and more exploratory in nature.

Graphite pencil and collage drawings are on the reverse side of a set of prints. These prints are slightly yellowing, giving the blank side an antique quality. I have a meticulous approach to rendering detail in these works, creating dream like landscapes with a vast array of small objects and forms. The morphing scenery is offset by the rigid cut of one or two collage elements, taken from the print side and reinserted into the drawing. The collaged parts are usually figurative in nature, instigating a voyeuristic narrative.
